Barbara Jaques


Barbara has spent more than 30 years in business, and her experience covers a wide range of positions and roles. She has been a consultant and assisted business owners at all stages of development.

Teaching Experience

Barbara has an extensive history of teaching success. She has spent much of her career providing both in-house and external coaching and training services. Additionally, in 2010 she was contracted by Te Wānanga o Aotearoa to deliver the NZQA Level 5 Certificate in Applied Business Growth and development.


Barbara holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University, specializing in Human Resource Management and Employee Relations. She also holds a Diploma from the New Zealand Institute of Management, and is certified as a Master Practitioner in Neuro  Linguistic Programming.

Business Experience

Barbara has worked as a Team Leader for ACC, and as an Administration Manager for GreenGables Landscape. In addition to this, she has been a Business Development Manager and started two successful small businesses. At present she is self-employed, specializing in providing sales, consultancy, and coaching service to SME owners.

Local Networks

Barbara maintains contacts with Human Resources Institute of New Zealand and the Northland Chamber of Commerce. She is also the Co-ordinator of the Whangarei Business Women’s Network.
